so yeah, about that...

I love cities. I love rainy days. I spend a lot of time reading about things that bore the average person - like how the universe was formed, whether there's really a heaven and hell, what transportation policies will make America tops again, and so on and so forth. I used to write poetry. I spend Fridays at happy hour and eating cupcakes with one of my best friends. Football is my favorite sport. I'm a GRITS - girl raised in the South - and proud of it. I live in NYC but I'll never be a New Yorker. I know how to drive but prefer public transit or walking. I miss my family. I'm a deep thinker, an urban planner by training, employed in the education field and love all things happy. I still draw stick figures and haven't quite figured out what I want to do when I grow up. • Ask me anything

Day 18 - The person that you wish you could be

Dear me,

You’re pretty awesome already, but you have got to definitely work on your patience with people. Some people are just slow, and there’s nothing you can do about that.

You also need to work on letting go of the hurts of the past and stop letting them influence the decisions you make now. Half of those folks are dead, and the other half are still stuck in 9th grade.
