I hope your life is going well. I never realized when you broke things off that it was for the best. I’ve gone on to do things I never imagined I’d do and live in the greatest city on Earth. Thank you for letting me go. I miss you sometimes, but it was the best decision you could have made.
I know that you can’t even fathom the hurt I experienced. It took me years to get over the betrayal and hurt. Everyone knew but me about your other girlfriend. That’s part of why I don’t talk to people I went to college with. A true friend would have told me about what was going on. I feel a little better about things now because I’m older and I’ve been able to have experiences I wouldn’t have had if I stayed in Mississippi and became a wife at 21. So, all’s well that ends well.
